Reflection

Technology is important because it makes tasks easier. Technology is an advancement that has changed the way a lot of people live and do things. Technology is also a necessity for a lot of jobs. In the past 5 years technologies have dramatically advanced. In the next 5 years technologies will keep on progressively changing, and updating.

For school work I use technologies like computers. For personal use I use things like phones, and iPod's; Which in the past 5 years have drastically changed. IPod's and phones have increased in technology uses. In the previous 5 years what has changed with phones and iPod's is their technology uses. IPod's main purposes were listening to music, and today they're used for apps, searches, gps, and even social networking, same with phones. Not only has their uses changed but they have also changed their look. Phones and iPod's with simple buttons, have upgraded to touch screens.

In the future I think I will use some of these tools from Online B for things like studying. In the future I can use Google Docs at school to take notes that I can access at home to study off of. For life long learning I think Advanced Internet Searching is most practical because even after I graduate high school/college I can still find uses and will still have important things to research or learn about. I don't believe I will never use  Digital Storytelling again, unless I am using it for a project at school, because its not very useful to me. Although I might never use Digital Storytelling again, creating a Digital Story was my favorite to create over the course of Online B. I liked creating my Bucket List because it was kinda fun to create, think of all the things I wanna do before I die and personalize a story of my self.  My least favorite to create was the Weebly. I felt like the website wasn't that easy to work with and it also kind of bored me. But overall I liked Online B, and working with all the tools that we did :)

Screencast 2 (Creating collections in Google Documents)

For this screencast I used www.screenr.com. Screencast-o-matic was a lot more user friendly. The website was easier to figure out. When I recorded my second screencast on screenr the quality wasn't as good. I liked screencast-o-matic way better :)

Screencast

A screencast is a video where the setting is a computer screen. The video is narrated to describe the on screen action. Screencasts are used to demonstrate or train viewers how to use new things on the computer. What I liked about making one was I thought it was fun because I've seen screencasts but I've never made one before and it was cool to learn about how to make one and also how their used. This could be helpful to me if I was downloading a new program/software on my computer that I didn't know how to use yet. I could watch a screencast that shows me how to use it. It would be most helpful to someone who is new to a program/software and wants to learn how to use it.

Google Documents vs. Windows Live

Google Documents vs. Windows Live
Differences- Windows use the same documents that Microsoft word uses and Google Documents are different than Microsoft because of copyrights. Google Documents use a different email address than Live. The layouts are also different.
Similarities- They can both upload and share files. Google and Live both can be accessed on more than just one computer. They also both serve the same purpose, you can create files you can access anywhere on both programs.

In my opinion I like Windows Live better. I feel like its a lot more simple and secure to use. I like the layout better too. When you're creating a document there seems like there are more options. Windows Live looks more organized. Overall I just like Windows Live much more than Google Documents.

Technology - Google's Driver-less Cars

Google gets license to operate driverless cars in Nevada Google has created a self driving system. They say that this self driving system will "help prevent traffic accident, free up peoples time, and reduce carbon emissions by fundamentally changing car use." These cars use radio sensors, video cameras, laser range finder to sense traffic, and detailed maps. Last spring they said it had safely completed over 200,000 miles of computer led driving. The first company that applied to test its self driving system in Nevada, was Google. The self driving system may help those who are visually impaired to be able to have a nicer easier way of transportation. It could also improve are transportation technology in the
future. I think its really cool!
