Jean Hoerni invented the planar manufacturing process. It is used to build single components of a transistor. Its used to connect the transistors together. He wanted to view a circuit in a two dimensional projection and that was his concept.
Well i think his invention affected people good because it made things alot more simple. We got to downsize, and it made everything for us less complicated and more complex now. It affected me because I'm glad its so easy now, that we can have cell phones and lap tops. Such easy ways of technology compared to the way things used to be.
